Why does divorce equal bad dad?

Everywhere I look there are single mothers on TV. I can only think of 3 shows with single fathers and they are due to death. My parents divorced when I was 2 and my dad got custody of my older brother and I. And when I would tell people they'd be like.. Do you live with your mom? And I was lIke no. When I was 13 I moved to live with my mom. NAD i lived there until I was 17. And I can now see why the judge gave my dad custody. But it really upsets m that there are no show about single divorced fathers. It drives me insane! Not all dad's are dead beats. my dad is the best dad ever. He put my brother and I first. my mom didn't do that and neither did my step-dad. Especially when my half brother came. So if your parents are divorced and you ask some one whose parents are to assume they live with their mom.

my parents have been spilt up for a year i live with my mom but she my dad every week day i guess in this case im one of the lucky ones cuz my dad and mom would always be there for me

i could not agree with you more my parents are splitting up an dits due to the fact that my mom wants to walk out and she does not want to take me and my brother and sister with her even if she did my father wants us not all fathers are deadbeats and single dads should get more recognition

i also got the same reaction from other people when i told them that i lived with my dad when my parents got divorced. before my parents got divorced i lived with my grandparents because my mother couldn't deal with raising me, and when i lived with my dad, it was fine. Nothing was different and i wouldn't change the judges decision for anything in the world cause my dad is the best dad ever. what proves to me that my mother didn't really care about me is the fact that i haven't seen or spoken to my mother since i was seven and she left my dad. i don't care because i got the World's Greatest Dad and i don't need my mother to know that.
