I am happy my parents divorced!

My parents divorced when I was just 2 years old. At first I thought my mom was evil for doing that. The way my dad talked it was all her fault, but when I was 12 I was snooping and found out the real reason they got a divorce was because he abused her sexually and mentally. He has hurt my mom so much that it has been 13 years and she still won't date and is always going to therapy. I have found recently that I have an older brother by my father and I have never meet him my father doesn't even know that I know. So what I am trying to say is that being nosy can hurt you more to find out. Ignorance can be bliss!

So you would rather not have known what a scumbag your father is? You would rather have gone through life not knowing you had a brother, not knowing your mom was never in the wrong, not knowing your father abused her and what a sh*thead he is? That's just weird. Personally,I would rather know the truth about my parents divorce and family.

i know how it is my parents divorsied when i was 7 years old and when i was older my mom told me the truth (its the same reason ur parents got divorsed) and my dad aways said it was my moms falt and wold talk bad bout her i hated it i hav one sister and she lives with my dad but i know how it is just try to stay in there

Yeah, I think I would rather have not known all that, had it been my parents. But it's good that you are understanding why it happened and why things are better this way..and go on your mom.
