the person most effected in a divorce is the child. and most children have witnessed a divorce. if a child is caught in the middle of an exremely nasty divorce does that mean within 10-20 years divorces might actually decrese because a child knows how horible a divorce is?

I think I might need to disagree. My parents are about to divorce. And it does affect me but it also affects them and their lives they're leaving the person they've been w/ for 16yrs and i know it affects my dad alot

even though the grown-up kids would know how bad divorce is, sometimes it unavoidable. When two people fight and no longer eac her, should they really give up their own happiness so their child has 2 unhappy parents under one roof? seeing your parents like that would probably be worse than seeing them divorced.
